It is with great pleasure that the organizers of the 32nd IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering invite you to take part in ICDE 2016 to be held in Helsinki, Finland, from May 16 to 20, 2016. As the capital of Finland, Helsinki is a vibrant city on the Baltic Sea renowned for its design and friendly atmosphere. The venue is at Aalto University’s School of Business, which is located right in the city center.

Call for Research Papers

We invite the submission of original research contributions in the following areas but at the same time we welcome any original contributions that may cross the boundaries among areas or point in other novel directions:

Notes for Research Papers

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the given submission guidelines. Research papers must not exceed 12 pages.
Only electronic submissions in PDF format will be considered. Please upload your submission to the ICDE 2016 Research Track through the CMT submission system. Your submission must be made within the due date specified above.
A paper submitted to ICDE 2016 cannot be under review for any other conference or journal during the entire time it is considered for ICDE 2016, and it must be substantially different from any previously published work.
Submissions are reviewed in a single-blind manner. Authors of research papers will have an opportunity to give concise feedback on preliminary reviews within a one-week time.
All accepted papers will appear in the proceedings. The online proceedings may be published as early as March 1, 2016. The best papers will be selected for extended versions to be published in the IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering.
IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if none of the authors attends the conference to present their paper.
