The IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) has inaugurated a new series of special issues, under the banner of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC), on “Emerging Technologies in Communications”. This series is unique in that it will be published online and distributed to JSAC subscribers. The first special issue will be published online in 2012 and the second one will be published online in 2013. These issues will deal with eight emerging technical areas selected from ComSoc’s Technical Committees and Technical Sub-committees.
Special Issues on Emerging Technologies in Communications (2012)This special issue will cover the following four technical areas. Area 1: e-Health Area 2: Peer-to-peer Networking Area 3: Vehicular Networks and Telematics Applications Area 4: Social Networks: Prospective authors should prepare their submissions in accordance with the rules specified in the “Information for Authors” section of the JSAC guidelines (http://www.jsac.ucsd.edu/Guidelines/info.html).
