About CBMI

After 21 successful editions across Europe, the 2025 Content-Based Multimedia Indexing (CBMI) conference will take place in Dublin, Ireland, in October 2025. CBMI aims at bringing together the various communities involved in all aspects of content-based multimedia indexing for retrieval, browsing, management, visualisation and analytics. We encourage contributions both on theoretical aspects and practical applications of CBMI. Authors are invited to submit previously unpublished research papers highlighting significant contributions addressing these topics. In addition, special sessions on specific technical aspects or application domains are planned and calls will be issued in due course.

Please note that the conference is running about one month later than usual in 2025. This is to facilitate a co-location and co-timing of CBMI’25 with ACM MM’25, which will also take place in Dublin on the week following CBMI. We are also happy to announce that MediaEval’25 will also take place in Dublin, on the weekend between CBMI and ACM MM. Welcome to Dublin for a true festival of Multimedia and stay in Dublin for the Samhain (Halloween) festival that occurs on the last day of ACM MM.
